Oasis Academy Shirley Park Children’s Centre

The Children’s Centre provides a range of support to children and their families from 0 – 5 years of age.

Oasis Academy Shirley Park Nursery provision is based here for children aged 4.  Free nursery places are available for up to 52 children through the Government’s early years funding scheme.  We are extending our existing provision to include afternoon and supervised lunchtime sessions.  See below for further details.

With its extensive links with the primary school, the Nursery provides the perfect introduction to learning and gives the children confidence and skills to transfer smoothly to their primary Reception classes when they reach 5.

A number of children’s services are based at the Centre all of whom work closely together to ensure parents and carers of young children receive support, care and guidance:

• A team of Health Visitors, Community Nurses and Nursery Nurses from Croydon PCT support parents and carers in their homes.
  

  
  A Duty Health Visitor provides telephone advice and support Monday – Friday between 9:00 – 10:00 in the morning and 3:00 – 5:00 each afternoon.  Call 020 8 655 5682.

• Croydon Opportunity Group .  A team of highly qualified specialist SEN key-workers support parents/carers and children with complex physical and/or learning difficulties.  They provide 1:1 support to children from 3months to nursery school age working closely with healthcare professionals and consultants across the Borough.

We are delighted to announce extended provision of nursery places at our Children’s Centre.

Funded through the Government’s early years funding scheme we can now offer packages to suit parents lifestyles, including the facility to stay for lunch*
