Our ethos and culture are at the heart of our House system, which revolves around a sense of community and a feeling of belonging. All students are valued and encouraged to work together and contribute for the common good. The development of stronger student/staff relationships are at the heart of all that is good about the House system.
All students across both the Primary and Secondary phases have been assigned to one of the four Houses: Eagle; Falcon; Hawk; and Kestrel - each of these Houses are led by a House Leader and Student House Captain. Students collect personal house points for good work in the classroom and around the Academy, with regular House competitions taking place in a variety of disciplines, including: sports; cooking; chess; maths; science; and music.
Individual house points and competition results culminate in weekly and termly House totals and, at the end of the year, the House with the most points is awarded the House Cup.
Students benefit from a sense of:

We were inundated with Year 7 and 8 students who wanted to participate in the House Cross Country competition. Well done to all students who finished the gruelling 3k course on our school field. The top 15 students from each year group were automatically entered into the Croydon Cross Country Championship races at Coombe Lodge on October 14th. Individual results can be seen on our 'News' page.
Year groups 7-10 flexed their culinary muscles this in a cook-off, with a staff panel voting for the best dishes. Victorious houses over the week were as follows: Year 7 Kestrel; Year 8 Hawk; Year 9 Eagle; Year 10 Eagle. Well done to all students who participated - Mr McKinley was well fed that week!
Aye mate! And welcome to limbo! Problem: I have no idea what page you're trying to work on. You need to define a body ID in the template, then turn on the necessary rows and columns in layout.css. Arrrrgh!
