Thursday 10th September will be the start of a new era for education for hundreds of children and young people as Oasis Academy Shirley Park opens its doors for the first time. The Academy, catering for young people from infant age, right the way through to the end of Year 11, is one of the first all-through schools in Croydon.
Oasis Academy Shirley Park will cater for students from the former Ashburton Infant, Junior and Community Schools, as well as for others from the surrounding area. It will not only offer high-quality learning in a creative way, but will give students a wide range of additional opportunities to enhance life skills and further develop their talents.
Academy Principal, Glen Denham, said, "We are looking forward to welcoming students and the wider community to our Academy. As we build on our strengths and develop new opportunities for all, our Academy will become a centre of excellence and ultimately everyone from the local area will benefit."

Oasis Academy Shirley Park will have its official opening on the 2nd October, where more details about the fresh approach to education, life skills and learning opportunities will be provided.
