Rev Steve Chalke Hosts National Forum at Oasis Academy Shirley Park

Rev Steve Chalke, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Oasis Community Learning Chaired the Oasis Community Learning National Forum held at Oasis Academy Shirley Park on Wednesday 17th March. The Forum provided an opportunity for the ten member Executive Board and eleven Principals from all the Oasis Academies in the UK to meet and share ideas and best practice across the Academies.

Students from Oasis Academy Shirley Park took part in the Forum and shared their views on the changes introduced since Oasis took over the predecessor school last September.

In the lead-up to the National Forum, Rev Steve Chalke said: “We are all thrilled to be coming to Oasis Academy Shirley Park for our Spring National Forum. Under the strong leadership of Glen Denham and John Murphy, I know they’ve made great progress since opening in September and I’m looking forward to meeting the students again. Being part of Oasis means that everyone within our Oasis family has access to a huge network of support so it’s very important we discuss ideas and agree policy as to how best we can meet the needs of all our students and improve their life chances. I am particularly pleased that the students themselves will be taking part in this Forum as their views are paramount to us as a National Leadership Team.”

Glen Denham, Principal of Oasis Academy Shirley Park says: “Our students are really excited and proud to be hosting this Forum. We’ve recently undergone a mini-inspection by Education Consultants using Ofsted criteria and their report¹ highlights many positive improvements. It will be good to have the chance to thank Steve Chalke, the Executive Board and other Principals who have given us such tremendous support."

Aye mate! And welcome to limbo! Problem: I have no idea what page you're trying to work on. You need to define a body ID in the template, then turn on the necessary rows and columns in layout.css. Arrrrgh!
