Unfortunately we will be unable to invite you into the Academy in person this year due to Covid-19 and keeping our children and staff on site safe. We have created a number of resources to help you learn a bit more about Oasis Academy Shirley Park Primary. Enhanced Learning Provision (ELP)
The ELP (Enhanced Learning Provision) at Oasis Academy Shirley Park Primary offers 6 places at our Stroud Green Campus. This is made up of Reception, Y1 and Y2 pupils. The ELP is designated as a provision for MLD. The children are supported by 2 full time adults. The classroom is based on the second floor, but has timetabled access to the play areas outside.
The ELP curriculum is topic based and is a blend of EYFS/KS1 learning, social communication skills, listening, speaking and attention. There is also a focus on sensory needs, behaviour and play. The children all have individual packages of support according to their own particular needs. Our staff make their assessments and tailor their learning accordingly.
The ELP receives support from an occupational therapist monthly and scheduled visits from an NHS speech therapist. Both of these professionals deliver strategies and targets that the school staff then implement.
Admission to the ELP is via the local SEN department.
Oasis Horizons Project
We are proud to announce our Oasis Horizons Project, where every child from Reception to Year 6 will be given their own iPad to use at home and at school while they are a student of an Oasis Academy. More information can be found here.
