In the very first year of the Oasis Shirley Park AStars programme under the leadership of former GB international Justin Robinson, the team delivered a remarkable debut season that set a new benchmark for excellence.
The AStars opened their campaign with a statement 75–59 home victory over Garth Hill, immediately showcasing the fast, disciplined, high‑IQ style of basketball Robinson has brought to the programme. Later in the season, they travelled to Garth Hill and produced another composed performance, securing a hard‑fought 76–73 win on the road.
Across the year, Oasis Shirley Park established themselves as one of the most dominant teams in the region, finishing with an outstanding 11–1 record and a league‑leading +217 point difference. Their consistency was evident in commanding wins such as 66–44 vs Chessington, 69–41 vs Haywards Heath, and 81–77 vs Brighton, demonstrating their ability to win both high‑scoring battles and defensive contests.
With daily standards driven by Robinson’s professional pedigree, the AStars have built a culture of accountability, toughness, and ambition — and this inaugural season marks only the beginning of what promises to be a powerhouse programme in South London basketball.
