Grace Smith, a through-and-through OASP student who has been with us since Reception class, is set to embark on a new adventure at the University of Sussex.
Reflecting on her experience at OASP, Grace shared, "my time at Oasis Academy Shirley Park has been incredibly wholesome and welcoming. From the very beginning, I felt a sense of belonging. I've been fortunate to have shared this journey with friends and fellow students who have been with me since my early days at the academy, and has made it all the more enjoyable."
"Throughout my years here, I've formed strong bonds and made lasting memories. The sense of community and support at Oasis Academy Shirley Park has been truly heartening." "Covid-19 had an impact, particularly during Year 11. The adjustments we had to make and the uncertainties we faced taught us resilience and adaptability."
As she prepares to take her next steps towards a Psychology degree, Grace offers advice to fellow students at OASP, saying, "remember not to be too hard on yourself. Give yourself room to breathe and find a balance between hard work and enjoying your time."
Grace's journey from her early days at the academy to her upcoming ambitions displays the spirit of growth, community, and perseverance that Oasis Academy Shirley Park strives to instil in its students.
