At Oasis 360 Mentoring, we believe in restoring hope and love. Our mission is to connect young people with reliable adult mentors and strengthen the vital relationships in their lives—whether at home, in the community, or at school.
The heart of Oasis 360 Mentoring is the belief that every child deserves at least one adult who is enthusiastic about them. We need mentors ready to invest time and energy into helping young people grow, develop, and reach their full potential. By forming strong personal connections, our mentors guide young people towards positive activities, setting and achieving goals, and improving their behaviour, emotional well-being, and academic performance.
Oasis 360 is about being there for young people who face challenges and helping them find hope in difficult situations.
Can you spare just one hour a week? We are looking for dedicated mentors who can commit to meeting with a young person weekly. You could be the perfect mentor if you have commitment, empathy, patience, good listening skills, and a non-judgmental attitude! No prior experience in youth work is needed.
We are excited to announce our next round of mentor training:
- Date: 16th August 2024
- Time: 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.
This full day of training will offer a fantastic opportunity to meet the key members of the Oasis 360 programme and network with a diverse group of community members. Attendees will gain a deep understanding of the Oasis ethos and how it shapes the 360 programme. The training will also include workshops on best practices for working with young people, contextual safeguarding, trauma-informed approaches, and mindfulness and wellness.
