Primary Pupils Learn about Nature during British Science Week

Primary Pupils Learn about Nature during British Science Week
Lydia Drane

What a fantastic STEM week we had! Children in the primary school learned about how things grow, the theme of 2022's British Science Week.

Children across the school had the opportunity to plant some microgreens which thanks to the wonderful sunshine are growing really well.

Across Early Years and KS1 we have had some creepy-crawly friends join us. Year 2 witnessed one of our cockroaches shed its shell. We now have a fully-fledged adult. Amazingly, we found out the adult cockroaches have wings unlike nymphs (babies). This was truly magical and our children loved the opportunity to explore their learning in slightly different ways.

Keep up with the magic and try some of your own scientific enquiries at home and share them with us.
