Year 7 Penny Challenge competition

Year 7 Penny Challenge competition
Sandra Griffiths

The Year 7 WE charity volunteers were focussing on the homeless in our local community. We looked at why some families are made homeless and how it may affect children.

We decided that we would like to make a change and raise some money to donate to the charity, Shelter. We arranged to to do a penny challenge competition between each tutor group. Each tutor group was given a money tin and had to collect as much loose change as possible within 3 weeks. The winning tutor group which collected the most coins was 7HA/1 and we raised £130 in total.

Well done to all that donated as every little can make a big difference.

Thank you for your kind donation of £130.

Your donation could give hope to a family who are struggling with homelessness.

Thanks again for showing you care, Oasis Academy Shirley Park. You're amazing!

And to confirm, you are not eligible for Gift Aid.
